Roger and Catherine we had a wonderful holiday in Cyprus. We would highly recommend your apartment to everyone we know. It is clean, spacious and furnished to a very high standard. Offering every home comfort, from air conditioning in each room down to a useful cool bag. The use of a lovely swimming pool, idealic location and an all round perfect accomodation to holiday in. Chris and Di (who purchased the week for Help the Heros on ebay)
I would like to say a huge THANK YOU to Roger and Catherine, the apartment was the best place we have stayed and your welcome pack was brillant. We want to stay again next year. I would like to say an extra special thank you for letting us stay a week longer due to my son's ear ache. Sarah, Tony, liam
We had a lovely holiday thanks but went far too quick would of liked to have stayed longer, the apartment was great, the location was perfect for us, it was home from home well equipped and would definitely rebook again,
·Great stay, lovely apartment, well equipped and maintained. Our thanks to Roger and Catherine for a fantastic weeks holiday. Brian & Jill Denton, Aston-on-Trent 16.03.10
oP.S Some tips that may be helpful to other guests: Orphanides supermarket has just about everything you will need. Just 5 mins walk. Turn right out of the car park, right at the main street (Aobmantinal) and on the left hand side a little way down. The Welcome Inn just opposite the supermarket takes some beating in our experience. To turn the hob on press and hold down for a few seconds the main on/off button. If this doesn’t work, turn off at the mains and try again. UK TV can be a bit challenging. BBC 1 & 2 on the main menu if this doesn’t work try BBC 1 & 2 Scotland also on the main menu. We could only find ITV by going through Services àother channels and this always worked for us. Best of Luck!
·We have very much enjoyed our weeks holiday in this spacious and comfortable apartment and lovely pool. Had fun with the telly on the first night but then it sorted itself out. Weather let us down but only on the last day- and we feel much refreshed. Our car journey on unmetalled roads on the Akamas was exciting (maybe a 4x4 would have been more suitable!!) We did not find Kykkos Monastery worth the extra miles but Agios Nicholaos tis Stegis- was fantastic and well worth finding. Our many thanks. Rosemary & John Smart- Devon and Elizabeth & David Evans- Bristol 25th April- 2nd May 2010
·3rd time staying here and it really is home from home! The apartment is well equipped and the complex is lovely and clean. We love Paphos and have been coming here for the last 13 years; all the best spots are noted in the green folder in the cupboard by the front door. But- Tramps does the best breakfasts & general meals and they show all sports. Fat Mammas does amazing pizzas & they put on a show at weekend. Hope your stay is as enjoyable as ours always is! Katherine & Shalina- Herfordshire 30th June-10th July 2010
·Really enjoyed our holiday, apartment is great, everything we needed, Paphos is also brilliant we would certainly recommend it here. Thank you; hope everyone has as good time as us!!! Love Katie and Connie XXX Katie & Connie- Sheffield 11th July- 18th July
·Apartment great! Weather too hot! Loved the area! Definitely recommend Tramps, Fat Mammas, O’Neills and Tea for two. The harbour is lovely and streets everywhere. The Old Town is like a maze. We would also recommend the Waterpark. We had a fab holiday. The Ainscow Family 19th July- 2 weeks
·We have had an excellent holiday in Cyprus. The apartment has been very clean and comfortable. We have spent a lot of time in and around the pool as it has been so hot! The pool is lovely and the complex very nice the Waterpark and the evening firework cruise (Wave Dancer). As for eating out we found a wonderful Taverna called Karlina Harry. Go along Tomb of the Kings Road then turn right and walk along for 10 minutes and you will see a flashing arrow pointing down to it. When you get there can you please tell Harry that “Nathan” sent you. We would recommend the Stifado and the Meze. Bradshaw Family- Newcastle 4th August- 2weeks
·Have had a fantastic holiday my 4th time staying in the apartment it is clean and comfortable and well equipped. Weather has been very hot so spent most of the time in and around the pool. Food in Fat Mammas is great; get there early to get a table as gets really busy. Also Tramps is good for sports and is a family friendly pub. Hope you have an enjoyable stay, just like we have. Lincoln Family- Herfordshire 21st August-11 nights
·So glad we found this apartment on the internet. Very clean, spacious and close to al shops, restaurants and the historical sites. Weather has been excellent. Will certainly recommend the apartment and hopefully come back again ourselves. Margaret, John & Jennifer x Clunie Family- Fife Scotland 12th September 2010- 2 weeks
·Nice apartment & very convenient for shops and restaurants. Didn’t like the municipal beach but found a great one within walking distance. Go down to the Tomb of Kings Road, turn right and go along the road past Fat Mammas and KFC. About thousand yards you’ll come to the Venus Beach Hotel. Either go down the first path and cut through the grounds or go past it and walk over the waste ground towards the sea and in front of the hotel is a beautiful sandy beach and you’ll be virtually by yourself. Eldridge Family 6-13/10/10 *PLEASE NOTE* although the guests like Venus Beach- It is very dangerous there are rip tides and swimming is not advised- this is why it is empty. Jan and Norma
·3rd time staying in Paphos and loved it as much as the 1st. As everyone has said before the apartment is clean, spacious and in an ideal spot. From other’s recommendations we didn’t think much of ‘Tramps’ and ‘O’Neills’ but they are great for all sports coverage. As everyone says- Fat Mammas is one of the best places to eat with shows and singing & dancing waiters/esses. Martellis is a good little Italian too, be careful portions are on the large side. One great place that wasn’t mentioned was Sisyfos roof restaurant they have a set menu with great variety for around €13. Buses are good value at €1 per person for almost anywhere- we went to the harbour/market but didn’t manage to catch the tour bus! We also went to Coral Bay which is another good little strip and the best beach. We will certainly recommend this place and hope to come back again next year- for a bit longer! Our many thanks to Roger and Catherine for renting their lovely apartment & also to Jan & Norma for looking after us! XxxNathan & Rebekah- Wrexham, N.Wales. 13th Oct-23rd Oct 2010
·The apartment was very clean on arrival and in very good location. We visited Tramps as the staff is very friendly and prices are extremely good for food and drink. Would recommend the breakfast. We also went “Undersea Walking” and that was amazing we booked online and got discount but it was worth it! Great holiday will be back next year. Laura Thompson- 13th-20th November
·As has been written before the apartment was really clean. It is a great size, very spacious & well furnished. The position of the apartment is well located and well within easy reach of the beaches, eating and drinking! Places, banks, supermarkets, Paphos market and Harbour area. We went to tramps most nights as the staff are very friendly and the drinks are well priced. Cheap! We went to Coral Bay by bus which was very reasonable (€1) and was well worth the time taken. There was plenty of opportunity to have a swim and we also saw a boat anchor and allow the passengers in the water. On Friday our last full day we went on a lazy day cruise. There was a bus transfer laid on which picked up just on the main road. The trip itself was from 10:00-4:00 and included 2 swim stops, a buffet dinner and entertainment with a chance to win a bottle of bubbly. It was a great way to end a lovely holiday. We would recommend it to everyone. We had a great holiday & we would love to come back again next year. Thanks to Norma and Jan for helping to keep this apartment in as good a standard as it is. Thanks also to Roger and Catherine for renting us their apartment x Dawn &Esther Howitt Nov 2010
·As already said the apartment was good for a stay in Paphos, but during the winter months it can get a little bit cold in the evenings, but during the day it’s great, and the early morning walks lovely. Also we would like to say a big thank you to Jan &Norma, you helped make our stay. Thanks to Roger & Catherine just one little mention could there have been some heating in bathroom when taking a shower or bath! P.S We would have loved to have used the lovely pool, but it’s just too cold!! David and Emily- Hungary 5 weeks Jan to Feb
·Lovely apartment and location, great stay if only for a few nights! Best food in town has to be “Hondros” Taverna near to Debenhams. Thanks. Tim, Leanne & Baby Jago- Dubai U.A.E
·Lovely apartment, great location, recommend walking along the beach to the Marina and having an ice cream whilst there as a reward for all that exercise!! Pool cool this time of year but brave children like Ella enjoyed it!! Saw the Muflon (half goat/half sheep) in the mountains- visit if you like adventurous days out!! Leaving today in glorious sunshine. Highly recommend meals at Melania!! Thank you for making it a special visit!! Amanda, Neil,& Ella Bartlett- April 2011
·The pool was extremely good and i used it almost every day even though it wasn’t heated it was really refreshing after a hot day walking. I’d also recommend the Farm House Tarvern on Tomb of the Kings Road just past Jackie Ma, the Chinese it is about a five minute walk, but the food is super and the set menu is a really good price. I’d recommend driving along the coastal road to Lara Bay it’s got calm waters and you can walk along to the headland, according to my dad it looks like the moon, but the blue sky ruins it. Overall I’d give the accommodation and the surrounding areas 4 out of 5. By Ben Scarchett. Hopefully ‘Ben’s Rough Guide to Cyrpus’ will help you in the future but keeping it brief, the pool was nice, the apartment clean and the beds comfy. Matt. Boys have just about summed it up although I did not brave the pool! Definitely recommend hiring a 4x4 to explore Akamas Peninsular, Camel Trail and Troodos Mountains. Great walks in these areas. Cyprus is beautiful in spring with flowers and lots of green, but the weather a little cool and windy at times. Overall a fab holiday. Rachel. 4x4 off roading the best do it properly do it fast and scare the wife, beer great and do come at Easter as you get a visit from Jehovah’s Witness. Keith. Keith, Rachel, Matthew and Ben Sarchett- April 2011
·Like it, like it, like it. Coming back in October. We hired a car from Andy Philips- down the street opposite Tramps Bar. Have used his cars before and always happy. We went to Latsi a favourite of ours and also to Pissouri after a day out to Curium. Tramps Bar is OK providing it isn’t a football on Sky night! If you like Indian food, go to Koh-1-Noor. Also liked Sisytos. Thanks to Jan (who explained the cooker hob to me) and also Norma. Also good to see Roger who called on us as a ‘meet and greet’, nice to put a face to the emails. Stewart & Tricia- Staylibridge 12.5.11
·A fantastic holiday in a great location. Thank you to Roger and Jan for all you have done. It has been a good base for our wedding. We’ll be back! Many thanks. Tim, Louise and family.
·Would recommend apartment to anyone, location ideal, pool fantastic, great value &clean. All amenities close by.Trips we did:
o1st Place- Waterpark in Paphos, brilliant, €29 + food inside- spent all day there, great value for time we had.
o2nd Place- Lazy Day Cruise, €27 + drinks on board- great way to see bays around coast from different view. Host and compare very good, staff & food. Very good, drink prices reasonable. Swimming in bays great, canoes etc.
o3rd Place- Mountain Safari (Steve’s Safari’s) €33 + €10 for meal (optional) Trip was good, although bit cramped in back of jeep. Very long day, but relaxed trip. Not rushed, driver was good laugh.
o4th Place- Bird & Animal Park, €12 with voucher. Would not recommend, cages too small & the place was not maintained very well. A lot of walking, but meal in restaurant great. Local Bars that are a must- Tramps & Outback bar. Priced well & staff very friendly. Fat Mamma’s too much for what you get. Better value elsewhere. Cloe’s Chinese Restaurant, just past Venus Beach Hotel, absolutely amazing setting, food & staff great, go see at night all lit-up. Reasonably priced well worth it. Venus Beach Hotel has a gym for use by outsiders- €25 for wk pass- Equipment plentiful but seen better days, but OK, did the job. Would come back to Cyprus for 3rd time in near future, weather great this time of year & would love to use apartment again if available. Would hire a car next time now we have got used to the crazy drivers out here now. We only came to do a relaxing holiday but couldn’t resist do some trips loved just relaxing by the pool! Paul. Paul, Janet, Jon & Stacey- Hinckley, Leicestershire 7.6.11-21.6.11
·Have had a fantastic holiday, lovely weather with nice breeze yet hot enough for a good tan! Fantastic apartment, close to shops, restaurant, beach, bus routes etc. Would recommend Fat Mamma’s for a great entertaining evening with large food portions. Also had fun at the waterpark and had a lovely meal, at captains view by the harbour, where we tried meze for the first time! Our highlight was the lazy day cruise, reasonably priced with good food, entertainment, chances to swim in the sea and plenty of time for sunbathing! Thank you to Roger and Catherine for letting us stay in your clean, spacious, well equipped apartment. We’ve had a brilliant holiday and would love to come back again soon. Andrew & Hannah, South London 26/6/11-6/7/11
·Have had a great holiday, apartment clean and tidy, and a good location for bars and restaurant. Recommend- Fat Mammas, Tea for two. Also recommend- Firework Cruise on Ocean Flyer, Waterpark, Coral Bay. Weather Hot (To hot) Thanks to Roger & Catherine for the use of the apartment. Best Wishes Paul, Anne, Lauren, Charlotte. The Wray Family- Leeds 13/7/11- 24/7/11
·Great holiday, bit too hot at this time, but lovely apartment and special thanks to Jan. Would recommend visit to Troodos Mountains, Coral Bay, and coastal areas, lovely drive. Locals are very friendly and enjoyed evening walks along the harbour, very lively. Most restaurants are decent, good set menus but would avoid Ideal Café. Many Thanks. Patel Family 27/7/11- 7/8/11
·Had a lovely week here, with a wedding in the middle! Best food- Jackie Ma’s Chinese set meal was good free toys for the kids. Jungle Cafe- T bone steak + mixed grill, Ed’s omelette on Tuesday Night! Apartment great with kids & would suit everyone. Lovely and clean on arrival. Pool fantastic, beaches too hot & dangerous to swim. Taxi drivers are all miserable and fat! Beds are really comfy! Home from home! Thanks very much! J P.S There are toilets by the pool so you don’t have to run upstairs every five minutes. We found them on the last day! The Smith Family- Ed, Janice, Emily & Lucas 7th-14th August 2011
·Lovely, well equipped apartment ideal located in Paphos. Temperature has been between 32-35˚ everyday- pool was welcome relief to keep cool. Too many restaurants to be able to pick out the favourites, but make sure you check your bill as a few extra items/meals may be added! Cypriots have a little trouble in counting!! BRILLIANT holiday- will come again. X John, Callie, Daniel, William and Drew- Bristol 15th-29th August 2011
·Lovely spacious apartment, well equipped. Nice pool, weather very hot. Ate at many places would recommend Chloe’s Chinese at the harbour, a must see place, Kch-I-Noor Indian at the bottom of the road and Tea for Two (Harry is a very nice host). Did a 2 hour boat trip and enjoyed it. Sightseeing bus and half a day safari with Elvis. Brilliant day out. Great resort, lots to do and will come back someday. Janet, John and Nikki- Leigh, Lancs 2nd 16th September 2011
·Cant really say much more than has already been said before, great apartment, well placed for everything we really liked the fish and chip shop (Moulias) Definitely the best we’ve had, lovely and freshly cooked while you wait. Plenty of places to walk to if you like walking, if not plenty of buses + taxis about. Best shopping has got to be at LIDL’s big supermarket it has everything and is the cheapest (lovely apple pies- fresh + baked on the day), It is the best for all your shopping. (Out of the apt, turn left to main rd, turn right opposite Venus Beach Hotel). * Jan’s a star, sorted the T.V at last we’ve got something to watch other than the DVDs. Plus very helpful, told us places to go -a lovely Lady, Finally thanks to Roger & Catherine for letting us have the apartment. (Weather Great) Many Thanks. Paul & April- London 17th September- 1st October
·Apartment great, everything thought of even down to the pads on the feet of the dining chairs to stop the ‘dragging noise’! Usually stay at Kefalos Beach Holiday Village, didn’t miss it at all (thought we would) Jan very friendly and helpful, Roger popped in to say hello. Complex lovely and clean, pool too although a bit chilly this time of year although weather was great!Chris & Julie Clarke Isle of Sheppey, Kent 2nd October-16th October 2011
·As said above lovely place! Two places I’d recommend to eat are Tea for Two and the Roof Top (Sisy Fos), Raffles is nice but was a lot of money, we tried ‘Tramps’ food was OK but service was slow and the staff didn’t seem very friendly! The Farmers Tavern very nice,. Karlinas OK too. Did the jeep safari (Micky’s) was really good day only thing was that we wasn’t told about the walking that you need sensible footwear for!! Or that you stop for a swim so didn’t have any swimwear... Thanks to Roger and Catherine for the use of the apartment. We all hope to be back soon!!!Vicky, Andrew & Jack Clarke- Lincolnshire 2nd-16th October 2011
·Our second visit to the apartment and so pleased we found it after years in hotels. Can only agree with all the previous comments with regards to the apartment. We ate at various places but one we liked that isn’t mentioned is Piatsa Greka (Real Pit Stop Bar) Traditional Cypriot food all freshly cooked. Instead of Tramps Bar we used Pit Stop, it wasn’t packed even on a football nights because it’s a larger pub! We prefer Orfanadies supermarket to LIDL- If you haven’t got a car it’s a lot nearer. Already looking forward to our return in May 2012. Tricia & Stewart- Stalybridge, Cheshire 19/10-2/11
·Lovely apartment, secret about the sunshine in November is to be out sunbathing at the pool for 10am. O’Neils for a Fri or Sat night is lively in November with live music. Lots of nice food places about. <3’d my stay. Xxx Sarah- Glasgow 2nd November- 9th November
·Lovely apartment, close to everything you need. Weather has been half and half but never stopped us going out of an evening. Bar Street (just behind the main harbour) is great for a night out. Robin Hood pub was great free popcorn and even free shots!! Prices were reasonable. We came across flairs be warned the drinks offer was buy one drink get one free and get one shot or champagne as well!!! If you was lucky the staff brought you more free shots. Great music, bouncers were very good in stopping trouble and looked after us. But still my favourite pub is Tramps Sports Bar which is a 5 min walk from the apartment, friendly staff, cheap local beer and if you like sports, plenty of wide screen TV’s. Melania is amazing for a meze every vegetable is grown in his garden and is only a bus stop ride away. San Marino is also good and is on the tomb of the Tomb of the Kings Road. Set menu good price, friendly staff nice restaurant. I got lucky by getting around of drinks free cause the owner remembered me from last year. If you don’t have a car the bus service is amazing if you get a day ticket for €2 you can go anywhere even to other parts of the island. We took the bus to bar street and saved a lot of money. You can take the bus to the airport which saves you a lot of money and it’s very easy. Cyprus is still my number 1 island and can’t wait to come back next year!!
